The road to get where I am today was a windy one, but I can’t tell you how passionate and excited I am to have arrived at this place. It’s an absolute honor to help you and other families understand the immensely complicated topic of insurance, benefits, and leave of absence planning, along with serve local San Diego families as a postpartum doula.

I had no idea what I wanted to do when I graduated college. All I knew was that I needed a job where I could work directly with people and feel like I was providing some kind of service to help. (I’m a Cancer through and through.)

I started working in Human Resources in 2014 and since then, I’ve worked in a lot of difference types of roles and industries. During that time, I was able to find a certain level of fulfillment by assisting employees, being part of creating processes to make the company function better, and ultimately, I discovered my passion for benefits because I could see how it made a real impact on people’s lives.

Then my world was rocked for 3 long years while experiencing our struggle with infertility. It was extremely emotionally and financially stressful time, and I learned on a deeper level just how important insurance and benefits are during these fragile life moments. I learned more about what I didn’t know, despite working in HR for many years by that time.

Our beautiful son was born in 2023, and no words can describe how thankful I will forever be that we finally were able to get pregnant. However, going through my own pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and planning maternity and paternity leave for us made me realize once again how much I didn’t know. Even though I had worked in HR for a decade at that point, I made several stressful and costly mistakes. I said out loud about a hundred times “I’m so glad I do this for a living because this crap is complicated as hell.” And it lit a fire in my soul.

From that moment, I’ve had a burning passion to help other families through this intense and vulnerable life phase. The insurance system in the United States is extremely complicated, To add insult to injury, most people have not used or paid much attention to insurance until they either go through infertility struggles or are pregnant. And they are immediately thrust into a complicated and expensive system, left to make costly mistakes along the way while “figuring it out.”

I’m here to change that. I’m creating the first ever insurance, benefits, and leave training resources specifically designed for parents. I’m cutting through the noise and only educating parents on exactly what matters during this exact phase of life - because I know you don’t have time or mental capacity for anything else!

I’m taking my 10+ years of HR work experience, plus my personal experiences as a mother, directly to YOU!

My husband, son, and I live in San Diego. In our free time, you can find us exploring anything and everything ‘America’s Finest City’ has to offer. We love to try new restaurants, play at parks, go to the beach, travel, and find fun family-friendly events. We lost our beloved dog in this year and are still healing from that. I’ll let you know when we add a dog into the family again :)
